The Gentle Slide Line
Once upon a time, on a sunny park afternoon, the big yellow spiral slide was the most popular attraction in town! A line of happy children stood on the wooden steps. Little Jack wanted to zoom right now, but he stood patiently behind his friend Maya. "One at a time keeps everyone safe!" remembered Jack. Maya slid down: whoooosh, splash into the soft woodchips! Once Maya stood up and stepped away, Jack climbed to the top seat, counted to three, and swooshed down: whoooosh! The wind tickled his cheeks, and he landed with a joyful giggle. He hopped up quickly so the next friend could slide. Waiting in turn made the slide safe, smooth, and fun for all the playground pals.
