Oops, It's Okay!

Once upon a time, Tommy was having so much fun painting a giant rainbow that he didn't notice his tummy was full. Suddenly: drip, drop! A little puddle appeared on the floor, and Tommy's pants felt wet. Tommy looked down and felt sad. But Mommy knelt down with a warm, comforting hug. "Oops, it's okay, Tommy! Accidents happen when we are learning. It's just pee-pee, and we can easily clean it up." Mommy helped Tommy change into fresh, dry pants. Together they wiped the floor with a towel. "Next time your tummy feels full, we will pause and run to the potty!" said Mommy. Tommy smiled, feeling safe and loved. He took a deep breath, and on the very next try, he made it to the potty right on time.
