The Bubble Monster
Once upon a time, after a busy morning making mud pies in the sandbox, little hands were full of dirt and invisible playground germs. "Time for the Bubble Monster to help!" said Mommy. The child stepped on the wooden stool and turned on the tap: warm water splashed over fingers. Squeeze went the soap pump! The child rubbed palms together, making fluffy white soap mittens. "Rub the tops, scrub between fingers, twist the thumbs, and clean under the nails!" They sang the ABC song together while the bubbles grew bigger and foamy. Then, under the warm stream of water: swoosh! The bubbles washed away down the drain, taking every speck of dirt with them. The child dried hands with a soft blue towel until they were warm and dry. Clean hands were ready for crunchy apple slices!
