Left Shoe, Right Shoe
Once upon a time, two sneakers sat by the door waiting for morning playground time. Inside each shoe was half of a smiling kitten sticker. "When our shoes kiss, the kitten smiles!" remembered the child. The child placed the shoes side by side until the kitten sticker matched: perfect! In slipped the left foot: wiggle, push, click! The velcro strap went zzzip! In slipped the right foot: wiggle, push, zzzip! "Look, Mommy, I put on my own shoes!" cheered the child, doing a happy stomping dance on the rug: tap, tap, tap! Next came the cozy blue jacket: arms through the tunnel sleeves, one and two! Fully dressed like a superstar, the child was ready to conquer the park.
