Wooly's Warm Wool Blanket

Once upon a time, as the first winter frost settled over the hillside, Wooly the sheep noticed her friend the little lamb shivering behind a bush. "You look so cold," Wooly said, trotting over with concern. "I lost my warm coat and I cannot find it anywhere," the lamb said, teeth chattering softly. Wooly looked down at her own thick, fluffy wool coat and had a wonderful idea. She visited the kind farmer, who gently combed a soft handful of extra wool from her back, easy and painless as could be. Wooly carried the fluffy wool to a family of birds, who helped weave it into a warm, cozy little blanket using their nimble beaks. Together, they wrapped the finished blanket snugly around the shivering lamb, who immediately stopped shaking and let out a happy sigh. "This is the warmest, softest blanket I have ever felt," the lamb said, snuggling in gratefully. Wooly felt warm inside too, even though she had a little less wool than before. "Sharing warmth is the best way to stay warm yourself," Wooly said with a smile. From that winter on, Wooly and the birds made cozy wool blankets for any chilly friend on the hillside, and no one ever shivered alone again.
